'Liars and Lovers Exhibit' Lake Country Art Gallery, February 26 to April 10

Artist Statement: “Nature Doesn’t Lie” was painted from reference photos I took in August 2021 at Okanagan Centre Beach in Lake Country. We were swimming and were shocked by the huge fire clouds that billowed and loomed in the north from the White Rock Lake Fire near Vernon and Armstrong. In 2021 there were many reminders through floods, storms, and fires that climate change and global warming are real and touch us all at various times and places – in BC as well as worldwide. Humans are part of nature. We need to listen to what nature is telling us and make changes to our lifestyles for the health of the planet and for our own health.
