Come visit me at my booth in the foyer of George Elliot Secondary School September 9 and 10 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. I'd be happy to see you. You can view the paintings I will be exhibiting on my website in the 2023 ArtWalk Gallery at https://kylearts.ca/gallery/2023_artwalk_paintings. Click on the images to enlarge them.

I will also have children's book illustrations on display in the "Illustrator/Writer Corner" in the HS Grenda Middle School.

ArtWalk is Celebrating 30 Years!

The Lake Country ArtWalk multi-arts festival will once again bring you a weekend of thousands of original, creative artworks, along with non-stop music on four stages, roving street performers, and so much more. September 9th and 10th will be alive with the intriguing sights, sounds and events of ArtWalk!

Come and celebrate with us as ArtWalk has reached its 30th year of offering this rich cultural event for our communities. Since its start in 1994, ArtWalk has changed its location, its size, its components, but continues to be the largest annual art show in the Okanagan, and has never strayed from its goal of offering the general public and artists wonderful opportunities to experience a huge showcase of art in all forms.

Inspired by this year’s theme of “Art and Story Bound Together”, ArtWalk offers a huge range of special, one-time events, including storytelling, book illustrators, live model drawing of storybook characters, calligraphy, installation art, the Art Fusion collaboration, book making workshops and more.

We have not forgotten the ever-popular Quick Draw with a live auction, and the timed Paint Off, the Children’s art station, the impressive Fibre Arts, a range of music, prizes, great food, and maybe some surprises. And don’t forget the huge display of current, original artworks.

Follow the ‘yellow book road’ to reach the two sites of ArtWalk, and to find all the fascinating book sculptures.  See you at ArtWalk!
